Trump Says Iran Is Lying as Camp David Cabinet Weighs War

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of President Donald Trump in a dark suit and tie, facing forward and raising his right hand against a pale newsprint background.

President Donald Trump told his Cabinet at Camp David that he was beginning to lose confidence in Iran, accusing the regime of lying during negotiations. He said Iranian missiles were fired at Jordan while talks were underway and described Tehran's conduct as dishonest and dishonorable. Trump said the regime was doing very poorly, as Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth sat beside him during the televised session. The comments followed renewed Iranian missile attacks on U.S. forces in Jordan and came as the administration weighed its next steps in the regional conflict.
