American Airlines Return Date Splits Between March Reports and January Alert

Two aviation reports published Sunday say American Airlines has pushed the planned restart of its New York JFK-Tel Aviv route to March 27, 2027. A broader airline update still lists the carrier's flexible-change window for Israel travel through January 6, 2027, leaving the exact return date in conflict. American ended the route in October 2023 and has not resumed direct service. No U.S. airline currently flies nonstop to Israel; El Al and Arkia operate U.S. routes, while Israir is preparing to join the market. United and Delta are separately scheduled no earlier than September 7 and September 5.
