Dahlan Walks Back Claim That Israel Agreed to Halt Gaza Strikes

Exiled Palestinian politician Mohammad Dahlan revised a social-media post that had said White House adviser Jared Kushner secured Israel’s agreement to stop strikes in Gaza on Sunday. His updated wording says Kushner is working with the Israeli side to halt the attacks, effectively acknowledging that Israel has made no such commitment and talks remain underway. Dahlan said implementation of the 15-point roadmap, accepted by Hamas and other Palestinian factions, depends on Israel ending daily strikes. Israel’s government and the IDF have not commented on his claim, while Israeli operations continued overnight.
