Iranian Adviser Says Three Planned Ukraine Strikes Were Canceled

Senior Iranian adviser Mohsen Rezaei said Iran had prepared to strike three locations in Ukraine after Kyiv attacked an Iranian vessel, but canceled the plans after Ukraine described the incident as a mistake or apologized. A summary of his state television interview on his official channel said Ukraine's action against the ship must be compensated. Iran International placed the attack on the Volga River, while Ynet described it as occurring in the Caspian Sea. Rezaei also accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to intensify tensions during his recent visit to Washington.
