Israeli Airstrike Hits Hamas Vehicle in Gaza City After 24-Hour Lull

An Israeli aircraft struck a vehicle carrying Hamas members in Sheikh Ajlin, southwest Gaza City, after roughly 24 hours without reported airstrikes in the Strip. Hamas-affiliated media reported that two people were killed and several others wounded; Israel had not immediately issued an official statement identifying the target. The strike came hours after the Board of Peace said it had asked Israel to halt attacks as its Gaza disarmament roadmap advances. That roadmap ties a full IDF withdrawal beyond the Yellow Line to Hamas completing verified disarmament of weapons and tunnels.
