Operations Suspended at Najran Airport After Houthi Drone Claim

Operations were suspended Tuesday at Najran Airport in southwestern Saudi Arabia after Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis claimed a drone struck a sensitive target at the site. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the attack answered alleged Saudi drone incursions over Yemen's Saada and Hajjah provinces. A regional source told AFP that the airport's main radar was hit, while the airport website listed upcoming flight statuses as unknown. Saudi Arabia had not commented, and AP said the Houthis provided no evidence for the claimed hit. The development follows the group's announced blockade of Saudi-linked shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
