Israel Bars Offensive Gaza Strikes as IDF Warns Hamas Is Rearming

Israel's political echelon has barred the IDF from offensive operations in the Gaza Strip, including targeted killings and strikes on sites where Hamas produces or stores weapons, with each strike now requiring political approval. Officers warn that Hamas is rearming quickly and that its operatives again move openly through Gaza. A source close to the Board of Peace said Israel has in practice halted its attacks and is holding a full ceasefire while implementing the 15-point roadmap, with troops along the original Yellow Line. The defense establishment has also weighed pulling back from several points in the Strip as a multinational force takes over.
