Regavim Files First Israeli Challenge to EU Sanctions in Luxembourg

Regavim filed an appeal at the European Union's General Court in Luxembourg seeking full annulment of sanctions imposed by the Council of the European Union. The organization says this is the first court challenge by an Israeli entity or citizen to European sanctions, and argues the evidence file relies on distorted claims and politically aligned publications. The EU listed Regavim and director general Meir Deutsch in May, alleging their legal advocacy facilitated coercive acts and forced displacement in Judea and Samaria. Regavim says it pursued lawful Israeli court petitions against illegal construction and that the sanctions punish protected civic and legal activity.
