Yoram Cohen Questions Zini's Decisions and Netanyahu Family Protection

Former Shin Bet director Yoram Cohen said in a 103FM interview Monday that he sees cracks in some decisions by current agency chief David Zini and hopes they can be corrected. Cohen said Zini must preserve the service's nonpartisan, state-oriented character and must not carry out unlawful requests from a prime minister. He called extended protection for Netanyahu's family a far-reaching step, distinguishing between security for a serving prime minister and for relatives. Cohen also urged an investigation into the October 7 failure to determine what broke down and prevent a recurrence.
