Likud Tribunal Halts Vote on Haim Katz Reservation After Conflict Claim

The Likud tribunal issued an interim order delaying the party secretariat's vote on reserving a Knesset-list slot for Tourism Minister Haim Katz. The order followed a petition alleging a conflict of interest and a political quid pro quo because Katz chairs the secretariat that would approve the reservation. The tribunal directed the party's legal adviser and Katz to respond within 24 hours, saying the petitioner's arguments warrant examination. It left in place the separate arrangements concerning Gideon Sa'ar and Defense Minister Israel Katz while postponing Haim Katz's vote until a further decision.
