Likud to Reserve Knesset List Slots for Sa'ar, Israel Katz and Haim Katz

Likud said its secretariat will be asked to approve reserved slots on the party's Knesset list for Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Defense Minister Israel Katz and center chairman Haim Katz. Sa'ar and Haim Katz fall within the eight reserved slots already approved for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while the defense minister is reserved on top of that arrangement, raising the total to nine. The movement's court ruled last week that the defense minister should be reserved, to allow him to engage in security needs and not politics at this time. Sa'ar's place stems from the merger agreement between his party and Likud, and Katz's from his role as party center chairman.
