Jared Kushner and Board of Peace High Representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov are planning to visit Israel next week for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, although the date is not final. They are expected to press for implementation of a 15-point Gaza framework under which Israel would halt strikes and meet humanitarian commitments before Hamas is asked to begin surrendering weapons. Netanyahu rejected the document earlier this week and said the IDF would not withdraw until Hamas is disarmed. Israel has told Washington it will keep targeting October 7 participants and emerging threats while coordinating more closely with the U.S. headquarters in Kiryat Gat.
