Vienna Jewish Community Joins Search for Missing Israeli Mother and Daughter

Vienna's Jewish community has joined Israeli and Austrian authorities in searching for Mali and Liel Yahalomi, a 50-year-old mother and her 23-year-old daughter from Modi'in. Their last family contact was Friday afternoon, August 7, and they missed a Tuesday night flight from Prague after their phones were traced near a Vienna train station. Community groups circulated a missing-person notice, while Chabad Vienna said it was assisting the search and urging against speculation. Israel Police's Lahav 433 unit obtained a gag order Thursday as authorities examined evidence that the pair may have left voluntarily; no abduction has been confirmed.
