Nepal Deploys 12 Flood-Response Teams as Israeli Traveler Remains Missing

Nepal has divided its Bhotekoshi flood response into 12 sectors, assigning teams to search and rescue, medical care, aid coordination, power restoration and family tracing. The Nepali Army leads search and rescue, while Home Ministry Joint Secretary Lokendra Adhikari heads the family-tracing team. An Israeli man in his 60s who entered Nepal from Tibet with an organized group remains missing; he was the group’s only Israeli. Israel’s Beijing consulate and Foreign Ministry distress department are assisting his family, and no Israeli has been identified among the dead.
