Nepal Flood Toll Reaches 475 as Israeli Traveler Remains Missing

Police in Nepal raised the recovered-body toll from the Bhote Koshi flood to 475 as rescue teams widened searches downstream. Nepal’s Foreign Ministry still lists the sole Israeli traveler in its latest nationality table as missing, with none accounted for. Local reporting said 667 tourists and travelers, including 127 Nepalis, were unaccounted for Thursday night and 31 foreign nationals had been rescued. An earlier international report counted 469 deaths, while the ministry’s older update counted 359, reflecting the fast-changing official tally.
