Elazar Stern Leaves Yesh Atid and Resigns From Knesset

MK Elazar Stern announced Friday that he is leaving Yesh Atid and resigning from the Knesset after 11 years with the party. Stern has discussed joining Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party, but he has not formally announced his next political move. Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid credited Stern with helping shape the party, advancing several of its achievements and participating in the formation of the “change government.” Stern’s resignation removes a veteran lawmaker from Yesh Atid as opposition parties organize their candidate lists for the election.
