Israel’s Manufacturing Producer Prices Fall 1.2% in July

Israel’s manufacturing producer price index for the domestic market fell 1.2% in July from June, to 120.2 points on the 2020=100 base, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported. Excluding fuels, the index was unchanged at 116.6, while the headline index was 0.5% lower than a year earlier. Fuel prices dropped 12.1% during the month, while refined petroleum products fell 12.0%, chemicals 1.5%, and food products 0.7%. Textiles rose 2.3%, rubber and plastics 1.4%, and transport equipment, machinery and fabricated metal products each increased 1.2%.
