IDF Says Zar'it Target Never Crossed Into Israel After Iron Dome Interceptor Launch

The IDF launched an Iron Dome interceptor toward a suspicious target detected over Zar'it, a border community in the Western Galilee, on Tuesday morning. The military said the target had activated Israel's air-defense systems, and that no casualties and no damage were caused. In a later update the IDF said the suspicious target was identified but never crossed into Israeli territory, and that no sirens were therefore activated in the surrounding communities. The military is continuing to debrief the incident to determine what the target was and whether the interception was necessary.
