Negev Man Indicted for Planning ISIS-Inspired Car Bomb Attack at Beersheba Club

Israel Police and the Israel Security Agency said an indictment was filed Tuesday morning against Abdallah Gargawi, 20, of Segev Shalom, for security offenses and unlawful possession of weapons and ammunition. A joint investigation by the Southern District Central Unit and the Shin Bet found he consumed content identified with the ISIS terror organization, adopted its ideology, and joined Telegram groups sharing terror material. Investigators said he took steps to prepare explosive material and build a charge for an attack on the Forum club in Beersheba using a booby-trapped vehicle. He was arrested on July 19 in Segev Shalom, and police said his intentions were thwarted before he could act.
