Uganda and Burundi Officers Visit U.S. Command Center in Kiryat Gat Over Gaza Force

Senior military officers from Uganda and Burundi visited the American-led Civil-Military Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat on Monday to discuss joining the International Stabilization Force planned for Gaza. American representatives at the center and IDF officials briefed the delegations on the plans being developed. Both governments have given preliminary approval to contribute troops, and hundreds of soldiers are expected from the two countries toward a force projected at roughly 20,000 personnel. It is the first reported involvement of Burundi in the effort, which stems from President Donald Trump's 20-point plan and is to be commanded by U.S. Major General Jasper Jeffers. Uganda's parliament approved a deployment earlier this month.
