Moroccan Gaza Force Expected in Israel Within 6–8 Weeks

An operational Moroccan contingent for the international Gaza force is expected to arrive in Israel within 6–8 weeks, according to a report published Thursday. Its proposed duties include supporting Hamas's disarmament, separating IDF troops from Palestinian civilians, policing areas cleared of Hamas and securing food distribution. Israel is demanding revisions to the force's operating definitions and remains opposed to the current 15-point agreement, while submitting a file alleging 100 Hamas violations over 10 days. Four Moroccan officers arrived in June to help develop the force, so the expected contingent would expand Morocco's existing participation.
