Israel Denies Approving Gaza Force Entry, Rules Out Reconstruction Before Disarmament

The Prime Minister's Office issued a spokesperson announcement Thursday saying that, contrary to reports, the political echelon has not approved the entry of the international force into the Gaza Strip. The announcement added that Israel has made clear there will be no reconstruction whatsoever in the Strip before the full disarmament of Hamas. The security cabinet voted last month to approve the Board of Peace operating in Gaza, with an initial contingent of roughly 200 representatives from friendly countries entering through Rafah. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir opposed that decision. The United States approved an initial 206 million dollars for the force on Wednesday.
