Peace Board Officials Say Israel Is Implementing Gaza Framework

Peace Board officials said Monday that Israel is implementing the 15-point Gaza framework on the ground despite publicly rejecting it, citing a halt to targeted killings, full observance of the ceasefire and IDF control of 53% of the Strip from the original Yellow Line. They argued that the public position denies Israel international credit and flexibility if Hamas violates the arrangement. The Prime Minister’s Office denied that Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to any Gaza withdrawal. Netanyahu said the IDF would not withdraw before Hamas is fully disarmed and insisted that Israeli operations and action against threats have not stopped.
