IDF Chief Says Talks Reflect Military Gains, Forces Ready for Renewed Fighting

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir told a senior operational forum Monday that negotiations across the main theaters were the result of the military's historic achievements. He said Israel is at a strategic crossroads and that the IDF must shape events through tactical and systemic initiative rather than be dragged by them. Zamir said forces are well prepared for defense and on immediate alert to resume intense fighting, while using the interim period to refresh troops without lowering readiness. U.S. Central Command chief Adm. Brad Cooper attended, reviewed recent cooperation and received an IDF commendation from Zamir.
