IDF Troops Kill Knife-Wielding Terrorist in Jenin, No Soldiers Hurt

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an IDF soldier in tactical gear kneeling in a doorway and aiming a rifle into a dim stairwell, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

During an offensive IDF operation in the Jenin area under the Menashe Brigade, a terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab a soldier. The force opened fire and killed the attacker before he could injure any troops. The IDF reported that no personnel were hurt in the incident. The military did not identify the attacker, specify the precise location, or name the unit involved. Its statement was issued shortly after the encounter and gave no exact event time.
