IDF Arrests Suspect in Al-Auja Stabbing After Joint Manhunt

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of two Israeli soldiers escorting a handcuffed young man along a rural road, with the nearest soldier seen from behind wearing a large backpack, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue chalk and pastel strokes with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

IDF forces arrested the suspect accused of carrying out Sunday's stabbing in the Al-Auja area of the Jordan Valley. The military said the arrest followed a joint manhunt by Israeli security forces and was enabled by intelligence direction and capabilities deployed by the IDF and Shin Bet. The suspect was transferred to security forces for further interrogation. The arrest is a new development after the earlier attack, in which an Israeli was wounded and troops searched Al-Auja, Jericho and the surrounding area.
