Trump Says Iran Is Not Ready for Deal, Claims Full U.S. Hormuz Control

President Donald Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews that Iran would welcome an agreement but was not yet ready for what he called the right agreement. He said U.S. military options in the region were not limited and that he was waiting to see what happened. Trump claimed Iran lacked money, a navy and an air force, was failing to pay soldiers and police, and had inflation of 350%. He also claimed the United States had complete control of the Strait of Hormuz area under its blockade, including territory deep inland.
