Civil Administration liaison officers rescued three Israelis from Palestinian Authority-controlled Area A in separate operations in Ein Arik, Jericho and Bethlehem on Sunday. An armed IDF reservist who entered Ein Arik accidentally was detained by Palestinian security personnel and transferred to IDF forces through coordination channels. Officers also extracted a woman from Jericho and a man described as mentally unstable from Bethlehem. All three were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police, while security authorities reiterated that Israeli entry into Area A is prohibited by law and endangers lives.
