Mazloum Abdi announced at the People’s Palace in Damascus that the Syrian Democratic Forces had completed integration into Syrian Army brigades and were dissolved as an independent military force. He said the agreement with President Ahmed al-Sharaa ends parallel military and administrative structures in northeastern Syria and puts military and security responsibility under state institutions and a single national chain of command. Abdi called the move a transition from battlefields to reconstruction and said Kurdish-language education would begin this year. He also called for a united Syria for Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen and Assyrians.
