Syria Reports Israeli Artillery Fire South of Al-Rafid

Syrian state news agency SANA reported that several Israeli artillery shells landed on agricultural land south of Al-Rafid in southern Quneitra late Saturday. It said gunfire followed from Israeli forces stationed at Tal al-Jalaa and that no injuries had been reported. SANA also reported separate Israeli shelling near Bat al-Warda hill by Beit Jinn earlier Saturday, again without reported injuries. The IDF says the UN-monitored buffer between the Alpha and Bravo lines has repeatedly been breached by armed groups and that it acts against threats to Israeli civilians along the Syrian frontier.
