Yair Netanyahu Identified as Target of Iranian Assassination Plot in Miami

U.S. officials identified Yair Netanyahu as the son targeted in an Iranian assassination plot that Israeli intelligence reportedly uncovered in December 2025. Officials said Iran-linked operatives were already in the Miami area and had monitored his Hallandale Beach residence, movements and routine. After U.S. authorities warned him to leave immediately, Netanyahu returned to Israel without collecting his belongings. He had an Israeli security officer with him throughout his Florida stay. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had disclosed earlier this week that Iran tried to murder one of his children without naming which son.
