Israeli security officials said intelligence concerning a threat to Yair Netanyahu in the Miami area was general and did not indicate an imminent assassination attempt. They said they knew of no terrorist cell arrested in Florida shortly before such an attack and were not aware of any last-minute thwarting of an attack about to occur. Officials nevertheless confirmed intelligence that senior Israeli figures, including Netanyahu, could be targeted. Precautionary steps included strengthening his security detail and requiring his return to Israel, clarifying earlier claims about Iranian agents monitoring his movements and residence in December 2025.
