Blue and White Denies Gantz Was Offered Roles to Quit Election Race

Senior figures in the opposition's change bloc reportedly approached Benny Gantz directly and through intermediaries, offering future roles outside government and the Knesset if he withdrew from the election race. A bloc source said the proposals were conveyed several times, including during the past week, and Gantz rejected them amid concern that Blue and White would not cross the electoral threshold. Blue and White denied that any offer had been made and said Gantz remains focused on uniting third-bloc parties behind a broad Zionist government. In a same-day interview, Gantz said he would not withdraw and that nothing would move him from first place in a combined slate.
