Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz and Unity chairman Gilad Erdan ended talks on a joint Knesset slate after another meeting. Gantz decided the parties would not merge after weeks of contacts and two meetings during the previous week. A source involved in the negotiations said Gantz saw no point in a two-party combination after a broader merger effort failed to mature. Unity said Blue and White had not engaged on substantive issues and accused it of seeking media prominence rather than pursuing bloc unity.
