IDF Downs One of Two Hezbollah Explosive Drones Near Troops in South Lebanon

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of broken camouflaged Hezbollah drone wreckage lying on a floodlit tarmac at night, with soldiers in olive uniforms behind it, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Hezbollah launched two explosive drones overnight toward IDF troops operating around the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon, the military said. Troops opened fire and downed one drone, while the IDF lost contact with the second and did not state its final disposition. The army reported no casualties among Israeli forces. The attack occurred as troops continued operating inside the southern Lebanon security zone. The IDF said it was acting and would continue to act forcefully against Hezbollah’s repeated attempts to harm troops there.
