Israeli Warplanes Carry Out Two Morning Strikes Near Nabatieh

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a dense hillside cityscape in Habbuch near Nabatieh beneath large billowing clouds, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Israeli warplanes carried out two strikes in separate waves at about 06:00 on the Ali al-Taher woodland, on the eastern outskirts of Nabatieh al-Fawqa in southern Lebanon. The aircraft fired several high-explosive missiles, producing a blast heard across the area and thick smoke over the site. A separate overnight strike was also reported between Zawtar al-Sharqiyah and Mayfadoun. The Lebanese report gave no casualty count, target identity or explanation of the operation, and there was no verified Israeli statement about the strikes.
