Iran’s Khamenei Bans Acts That Harm Social Cohesion Amid U.S.-Israel War

Iran’s supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, told officials that any act harming social cohesion is prohibited in a Government Week message. He praised President Masoud Pezeshkian’s administration for maintaining goods, services, energy management and repairs during what he called six months of U.S.-Israeli pressure, sanctions and war. Khamenei ordered greater focus on inflation, unemployment, prices, investment and domestic production, while calling for a gradual reduction in the dollar’s role. He also warned against discouraging rhetoric and rejected presenting Iran’s choices as either war or negotiations, consensus or extremism, or compromise or warmongering.
