Israel and Greece Sign €3 Billion Achilles Shield Air-Defense Deal

Israel and Greece signed a government-to-government agreement at the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv to build Greece’s first integrated multilayer Israeli air-defense network. Worth about €3 billion, or more than NIS 10 billion, it is described as the largest defense-export agreement in Israel-Greece relations. The package includes David’s Sling, Spyder and BARAK MX systems, ELTA MMR radars and a national command-and-control system. The program is expected to take 35 months and include at least 25% Greek industrial participation, while a separate €26 million agreement covers Drone Dome systems for strategic sites.
