IDF Strikes Hamas Commander in Jabaliya to Remove Immediate Threat

The IDF struck an unnamed commander in Hamas's military wing in Jabaliya, northern Gaza, after saying he was advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians. The military said the commander was working to rebuild Hamas capabilities in systematic violation of the ceasefire, and that the strike was intended to remove an immediate threat. It said precise munitions and aerial surveillance were used before the strike to mitigate harm to civilians. The IDF added that Southern Command troops remain deployed under the agreement and will continue acting against immediate threats.
