Bahrain Says Air Defenses Intercepted Iranian Drones

Bahrain's National Communication Centre said Bahrain Defence Force air-defense systems intercepted and destroyed Iranian drones targeting the kingdom overnight. The official statement did not specify how many drones were involved, where they entered Bahraini airspace, which sites they were aimed at, or whether the attack caused damage or casualties. It also did not give a separate interception time beyond its overnight publication or describe the military systems used. The announcement confirmed that the incoming aircraft were Iranian and that Bahrain's own air-defense units carried out the interceptions.
