Bahri Confirms Two Filipino Sailors Died in SIDR Hormuz Incident

Saudi shipping company Bahri confirmed that two Filipino seafarers died after a security incident aboard the tanker SIDR while it transited the Strait of Hormuz at about 23:40 local time on August 31. The company identified the vessel by IMO number 9854715 but did not disclose the cause or name an attacker. Bahri said it was providing full support to the families and affected colleagues, remained in continuous contact with SIDR, and was coordinating with relevant authorities and maritime-industry stakeholders. The company expressed condolences to the families and colleagues of those killed.
