Netanyahu Visits Gaza Post Near Yellow Line, Says Israel Will Not Withdraw

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited an IDF post near Gaza’s Yellow Line on Wednesday morning with Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor and Division 99 commander Brig. Gen. Elad Tzuri. Commanders briefed him on operations, threat removal, troop protection and defending nearby Israeli communities. Netanyahu said Israel controls 60% of Gaza and will remain on its current line. He said Israel’s goals remain disarming Hamas and demilitarizing Gaza, while preventing the territory from again threatening Israel, and added that further work remains.
