Hadash Announces Jafar Farah’s Withdrawal From Knesset Slate

Jafar Farah has withdrawn from the No. 2 position on Hadash’s Knesset slate, equivalent to fourth place on the three-party Joint List. Hadash said the 59-year-old Haifa activist conveyed his decision Thursday and that it was announced Friday after coordination with party institutions and senior figures. Farah categorically denies allegations arising from several testimonies concerning sexual harassment or assault and said he will continue political and social activity for Hadash and the Joint List. Hadash’s national secretariat and the Communist Party central committee are scheduled to meet Saturday to select a replacement.
