Trump Renews Threat to Strike Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain Very Soon

President Donald Trump said Friday in the Oval Office that the United States may strike Iran’s Pickaxe Mountain “very soon” if it detects activity there. Trump said Washington knows who is moving at the site and elsewhere in Iran and would strike hard if it saw concerning activity. Pickaxe Mountain is a heavily fortified site near Iran’s damaged Natanz uranium-enrichment facility and contains two deeply buried tunnel complexes. Trump reiterated that Iran would not obtain a nuclear weapon and described current U.S. strikes as intermittent within a military conflict.
