A joint surprise drill by the IDF Technology and Logistics Directorate and Home Front Command began Thursday at several locations across Israel and was scheduled to continue through the afternoon. The exercise tests multi-branch and logistical readiness for unexpected operational scenarios, including Home Front Command preparedness, standby and reserve-force activation, and decision-making from regional commands through the General Staff. The military said residents could expect increased movement of security forces, medical teams and vehicles during the drill. It said no security incident had occurred and the exercise was planned in the IDF's 2026 training program.
