Netanyahu and Mitsotakis Discuss Advancing New Trilateral Summit With Cyprus at UN

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Thursday in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly and ahead of his address there. According to the Prime Minister's Office, they discussed regional developments, energy cooperation and advancing another trilateral summit with Cyprus, following the last three-leader summit in December. Netanyahu stressed the importance of the strategic partnership for regional stability and welcomed Greece's choice of Israeli defense systems, referring to last month's Achilles Shield air-defense deal. He later met Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša, congratulated him on Israel's new embassy in Ljubljana and invited him to visit Israel.
