Police Announce Fraud Investigation Into Government-Company Executive

Israeli police announced Thursday evening that a senior executive at an unnamed government-owned company is under investigation on suspicion of obtaining a benefit by fraud, breach of trust, forgery, using a forged document and submitting a false affidavit. Officers from Lahav 433's National Fraud Investigations Unit questioned the executive that morning, searched his home and office, and seized documents and digital media. He was released after questioning under restrictive conditions, and the investigation remains ongoing. The executive's name and the company's identity were not disclosed.
