IDF Ends Beita Clash as Confrontations Reported in Three West Bank Villages

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of an archival olive-tree landscape in the Jericho mountains, with rocky ground, irrigation hoses, a wooden frame and a small wooden enclosure. General West Bank context; this does not depict Beita, Osrin, Burin or the reported clashes.

An IDF force ended a confrontation over olive harvesting in Beita on Saturday morning, as clashes between Palestinians and settlers were reported in three villages in Judea and Samaria. The Beita dispute began in an orchard, and bursts of gunfire were reported, apparently into the air. The reporting did not identify who fired. In Osrin, at least one Palestinian was reportedly injured by stones thrown by settlers. Further confrontations were reported in Burin, but the dispatch gave no details of injuries there or arrests in any of the three locations.
