Police Collect Evidence in Usrin as IDF Searches for Rioters

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a contextual January 2022 Nablus panorama with buildings across a valley, foreground rooftops and water tanks, surrounding hills and a cloudy sunset. Police said officers and forensic investigators entered Usrin in Samaria with IDF troops and began collecting evidence and testimony after Palestinian reports of violence by settlers. Investigators from the Judea and Samaria District were working at the scene as part of an inquiry. The IDF said troops identified damage on arrival and searched for rioters who had fled before the forces reached the village. The military condemned such incidents, saying they undermine its defensive and counterterrorism efforts in the area. The statements did not report arrests or identify suspects.
