The Defense Ministry said on October 6 that nearly 30,000 wounded IDF and security personnel have entered its Rehabilitation Department since October 7, 2023. It said 63% are coping with psychological reactions and 37% have physical injuries, while 62% are reservists and 47% are aged 30 or younger. Across all of Israel's wars, the department now cares for 91,200 people, including 42,500 coping with psychological conditions or PTSD. The ministry projects about 100,000 patients by 2028, roughly half with psychological injuries, and said implementation has begun of the rehabilitation reform the government approved in July.
